How are You Supporting Your Workforce?

Now is the time for every business and organisation across the Fylde Coast to support their workforce with mental health and wellbeing.

Mental Health has been an increasing challenge for organisations for the past decade, however the Covid-19 pandemic has been an accelerant with more people having experienced a mental health crisis during the pandemic than ever before (CIPD, 2021).

The Fylde Coast Responsible Business Network in collaboration with a series of partner organisations has been working to promote mental health and resilience of the Fylde Coast workforce and bring it to the forefront of employers minds, whilst also encouraging them to think of mental health on par with physical health.

How Can the Fylde Coast RBN Help Your Business?

AWARENESS and understanding of personal resillience

1. Awareness and Understanding of Personal Resilience

Many individuals will have experienced increased uncertainty surrounding employment, finances and relationships in the past 2 years, all of which can have a detrimental impact on both physical and mental health.

Open to all employees, we are planning to host an ‘in-person’ session of ‘Mind that Gap’ delivered by psychotherapeutic counsellor Neil Sladen. Neil’s session promotes awareness of personal wellbeing, effective coping strategies and builds psychological resilience.

Peer to peer support

3. Peer to Peer Support

Sometimes, it’s good to hear directly from other local businesses that developed or implemented their own mental health programmes to help you understand the steps that you can go through to do the same.

Whatever size of organisation you are, we can connect you to local people who have gone through the process and would welcome a conversation with you about how you can adopt something similar.
