Steering group member, Andy Anderson promotes Mental Health Pledge at Upskilling Event

Congratulations to Aimi O’Donnell, Social Value Lead at Blackpool Council for hosting the Upskilling Construction and Trades event held yesterday morning in the magnificent Spanish Hall at the Winter Gardens Conference & Exhibitions centre.

It was wonderful to hear from so many passionate speakers about the investment and opportunities in the town and hear from companies such as R.P. Tyson Construction Ltd about their social value initiatives and support for their community. We really enjoyed listening to Dave Scholes from Six Connections about how he’s helping organisations include mental health in every day conversations.

Special thanks to Andy Anderson, Head of R&D at Victrex and member of the Fylde Coast Responsible Business Network Steering Group for talking about his experience of being part of our network, and for rolling out our own mental health pledge. We’d love to speak further with organisations who attended and will be in touch with those we exchanged contact details with. If we didn’t get chance to speak, please do contact us and we can grab a coffee!
